The Alton Youth Symphony is governed by a fifteen member volunteer board of directors comprised of interested citizens from the community. The board includes active and retired music educators, parents of students, and members of the business commumity. AYS employs a a part-time orchestra manager as well as music directors for the youth symphony and junior youth symphony.
